No matter if you’re looking at recreational or competitive skate– this is the program for you!
Learn to Skate Ice Skating will teach your child the basic fundamentals of skating including, marching, bubbles, 1 and 2 foot glides, stops, 3-turns, hops, forward and backward edges and crossovers. Once a level is mastered, skaters will move next level. Your child learns confidence, perseverance, and personal strength.
Classes for Levels Snow Plow Sam – Basic 6 Level are Thursday evening and Levels PreFreeskate to Freeskate 6 are Sunday evenings. Classes are 30-45 minutes long. Lesson Fee varies on level & LTS USA membership required. Monthly payment plans available.
Hockey
Hockey players must learn to skate before they can learn to score! Endorsed by Hockey USA, Learn to Skate Hockey is for skaters learning to skate for hockey or looking to improve your skating skill, speed and agility – this is the program for you. The primary focus of LTS Hockey is to learn all elements and successfully complete without a puck to begin, focusing on skating skills, the basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, edges, forward and backward skating, stops, and other necessary fundamentals to be successful. Classes are held on Saturday mornings. Open to skaters of all experience levels. Lesson Fee varies depending on level of skater & LTS USA membership required. Monthly payment plans available.
About The Program:
- Learn skating techniques for the game of hockey
- Basic hockey stance, stride, knee bend, and other skills
- Left and right, clockwise and counter-clockwise drills
- Use of standardized curriculum while incorporating fun on the ice

Ice Explorers
About The Program:
- Children Ages 3-4
- Introduces young children to the rink alongside their parents
- First 2-3 classes held off-ice learning skills including: Falling down, getting up, marching, and dips
- By the end of the program, kids will step onto the ice more confident and ready to learn
Snowplow Sam
About The Program:
- Preschool-age skaters
- Introduces skating skills: How to fall, get up, and march across the ice
- Fun & Games
Ice Dance
Ice dance brings together skating and dancing with a set pattern of steps skated in time to music of a designated tempo and rhythm. Ice dance emphasizes rhythm,
interpretation of the music and precise steps. Ice dance 1 skaters will learn the basic elements found in the Dutch Waltz – forward swing rolls and forward progressives, the building blocks for all future dances. An emphasis is placed on solid skating technique, edges, flow, & posture while learning to listen for the beat to keep the pattern steps on time with the Dutch Waltz music. Ice dance is a great way to spend more time practicing & improving edges while learning something new at the same time! This program is open to any skater – you do not have to be a member of Freeskate Club.

Free Skate
About The Program:
- Levels include skills, spins, and jumps
- Foundation for decisions about recreational or competitive skating
- Learn additional elements of figure skating
- Progressive levels of advancement that are individually paced
